{"id":395,"date":"2026-02-03T16:19:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-03T21:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ri.idigh.ca\/rd2025\/?p=395"},"modified":"2026-04-13T23:01:53","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T03:01:53","slug":"guidelines-for-poster-presentation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ri.idigh.ca\/rd2026\/info\/guidelines-for-poster-presentation\/","title":{"rendered":"Guidelines for Poster Presentation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To prepare for your poster presentation, which includes a 3-minute presentation to the judges, please adhere to the following guidelines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Poster Format<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The recommended poster format is 36 inches by 48 inches (91.4 cm x 121.9 cm). <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can use other format, but keep in mind that place is limited and each board is shared with another presenter. The size of each board is 48 inches x 96 inches.  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Poster Setup and Presentation Sessions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To minimize traffic, there will be two poster presentation sessions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Posters can remain on display for the entire duration of the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presenters are encouraged to set up their posters in the morning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poster numbers will be provided at the registration table.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pins are provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presenters are responsible for removing their posters after the last poster presentation session to streamline the storage of the boards by our volunteers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Poster evaluation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will have a maximum of 3 minutes to present your poster to the judges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practice your presentation to ensure you can effectively convey the key points of your research within the allotted 5-minute timeframe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus on the most important aspects of your research during your presentation. Be prepared to answer questions from the judges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Poster Content and Design:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Clarity and Conciseness:<\/strong> Ensure your poster is clear, concise, and effectively communicates your research information. Use visuals (figures, tables, graphs) to enhance understanding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Readability:<\/strong> Use a font size that is easily readable from a reasonable distance. Consider using a larger font for the title, author names, and section headings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Logical Flow:<\/strong> Organize your poster content in a logical flow (e.g., introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion). Use headings and subheadings to guide the viewer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Visual Appeal:<\/strong> Design your poster to be visually appealing. Use a consistent color scheme, and avoid overcrowding the poster with text.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Templates and Logos:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can use the styling of your choice for your poster.
